Be Still

A friend posted a question on Facebook asking people what “Be still and know that I am God” means to us. In answer to that, I posted the following:

To me, it means to quiet my soul (mind, emotion and will) by fully submitting to God and letting His peace permeate my being! It is being in the presence of God and flowing with and in Him! Sometimes that is easier said than done and it requires abandonment to the Lord. This is a discipline that requires us to come away into the presence of the Lord and give ourselves totally to Him. We must die to self. Paul said “I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31). Galatians 2:20 also comes to mind!

My desire is to serve the Lord and people and to show them the great love that the Lord has for them. I want to be able to encourage others to know, love and serve the Lord.
